LoanCare, LLC works with Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia and Hampton Roads Workforce Council to sponsor the Workforce Development Center.

 

Virginia Beach, VA February 18, 2022 – Building on a deep history of partnership between the organizations, LoanCare LLC, recently agreed to sponsor Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia Workforce Development Center. 

 

The Workforce Development Center, located at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia – Rosemont Club, provides programs that work in conjunction with the Hampton Roads Workforce Council. Together, they provide opportunities such as Boys & Girls Clubs’ Career Launch, a job-readiness and career-exploration program for teens and Keystone Clubs — ages 14 to 18—. This program provides leadership development opportunities in the areas of academic success, career preparation and community service. They also provide programs such as Hampton Roads Workforce Council’s program NexGen Pathways, participants ages 14-24 learn workplace readiness and academic skills essential for reaching their career goals. 

 

According to the Afterschool Alliance, 236,414 kids in Virginia leave school every day with nowhere to go and risk being unsupervised, unguided and unsafe. Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia provides not only a place for some of these kidsto go, it offers premier youth development programming to enhance and build Club members’ life skills.
